Diabetes

Insulin is a hormone that helps the glucose get into your cells to give them energy. Without enough insulin, the glucose stays in your blood. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert food into glucose, a sugar that the body uses for energy. With Type 1 Diabetes , insulin is generally not produced in the body at all. Insulin helps glucose to enter cells, where it is used for energy.
